




Valiza is a Brazilian company created in 2003, based on the tradition and experience of its owners, who cultivate and export fresh fruits for over 40 years.
Its productive unit is located in the city of Campinas, State of São Paulo, though near the neighboring towns Valinhos and Vinhedo, region nationally acknowledged for the culture of fig and grape. Valinhos holds the title of purple fig Brazilian capital, an agricultural culture that have also attracted to the region the planting of fruits as guava, grape, peach, acerola, lichia, siriguela and star fruit.
With 14 hectares of fertile soil and appropriate climate for the cultivation of fruits, the productive unit of Valiza maintains 23 thousand feet of purple fig, responsible for the annual production of about 184 thousand units.
Of the product marketed by Valiza - also acquired from local producers - 60% are destined to the export to countries as Holland, Germany, France and England. To the Brazilian market the other 40% are destined. They are consumed in natura and processed by the food industry.
With the objective of offering to the consumer alimentary safety with warranties of origin of the product, Valiza has been getting guidance to follow the procedures demanded by Eurepgap – a European system of quality administration. The company has been implementing among their practices a system to track the fruit, which is responsible for joining important competitive differential to its products. Valiza is early to its customers' needs and it offers technological mechanisms for purchases through Internet, differential that it has been facilitating the commercial transactions bringing agility and comfort to the company’s portfolio of customers.
Fruit “Made in Brazil”
Brazil is the third largest producer of fresh fruits, only losing for China and India. According to data of the Ministry of Agriculture and of the Brazilian Institute of Fruits (IBRAF), in 2004 there was a growth of 10% in value and 5% in volume in the shipping of Brazilian fruits to the international market. The Country never exported so much fruit as in this period. They were 850 thousand tons or US$ 370 million in exchange value to Brazil. The goal of the Ministry is to elevate the exports for US$ 1 billion up to 2010. The main buyers of Brazilian fruit are the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Canada, United States, Argentina, Uruguay and Arab Emirates.
